new dishwasher seems to leave POwder on my dishes?? HELP.?
My dishwasher is a frigidaire , It is not even 6 months old , And i find that my dishes have a very fine white powder on them when i take them out of the dishwasher?.. I called a service repair man to come out and he was so rude, didn't do a damn thing and then told me to just put jet - dry in it... but there IS jet dry in it, that is what i think the problem is, i think the rinse aid is drying on my dishes and its super gross. What can i do as an alternative, i looked online and some people say to put vinegar in the rinse aid dispenser instead, but is this safe?? I don't wanna void my warrenty. Please help , I payed good money for a dishwasher and it seems i have to wash it all by hand anyways. has anyone else had this issue?
- oh and i used to use Finish detergent gel, but resently switched to an eco-friendly brand (still gel form) cause i thought it might have been the soap but I still have this problem.
Nothing could be safer than using vinegar.
VInegar breaks down in water so after a while there is no vinegar left anyway. Vinegar is excellent at rinsing because all soaps are alkaline and vinegar is acid. VInegar is non toxic to you and to the planet. It kills mold mildew germs bacteria. Do your dishwasher a favor and put a cup of vinegar in a the dishwasher and run it on the hotest temperature without other soaps or dishes. This gives the dishwasher a good sanitizing and removes build up.
Use vinegar to remvoe soap scum from your bathtub or shower and save yourself a bundle of money and save the planet.
Use vinegar as a laundry rinse. Add a cup to the clear water of the final rinse cycle to remove the dull stiffening buildup of detergents and soften and brighten the clothes.
Use diluted vinegar to give you hair a conditioning rinse to remove shampoo build up. Use diluted vinegar to give your hands a rinse to remove drying soap residues. Use vinegar to polish your counters and tiles and remove odors from fabrics and to polish chrome.
It is good for the planet and cost a dollar or so a gallon!
And have a sip of apple cider vinegar in some water for digestion.
Keep it out of the eyes.
