Dryer Thermal
Where is the thermal fuse on an older RCA dryer?

I know what it looks like, but I don't know where on the dryer it is located. If someone could direct me to a diagram site or something, it would be very helpful. I think the dryer is from the early 90s.

Try googling "appliance parts", and then click on an appliance parts link such as "appliance parts from repair clinic.com". You'll need your model number and possibly a serial number some of these sites have parts locators, including exploded drawings of the appliance with the part names.

Just follow the directions on the individual site.

Your model number should be printed in both the manual and on a sticker or metal plate somewhere on the appliance ( a door side or jamb, the rear panel, etc).
The serial number is probably only on the sticker or plate, but you may not need it.

The biggest difficulties in appliance repair are the diagnosis, the location of the part, and how to access it.

I have used these sites on numerous occasions, and have saved hundreds-if not thousands of dollars on service calls and inflated parts prices.

Good luck!
